A short story writer who crafts distinctive portraits of contemporary American life with precision and moral depth, Deborah Eisenberg is the author of Transactions in a Foreign Currency, Under the 82nd Airborne, All around Atlantis, Twilight of the Superheroes, and Your Duck Is My Duck. She is a professor in the writing program at Columbia University’s School of the Arts. Writer and editor David L. Ulin is an associate professor of English at the University of Southern California and a former book critic for the Los Angeles Times.
