Ann Hamilton

Ann Hamilton is an American visual artist recognized for her large-scale multimedia installations. Her work explores themes of human experience, language, and memory, often incorporating textiles, sound, and video. Hamilton's immersive environments invite viewers to engage with art on a sensory level. She has received numerous awards, including a MacArthur Fellowship in 1993 and the National Medal of Arts in 2014. Hamilton has represented the United States at the Venice Biennale and has had major exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Modern in London.
