Averill Curdy

Averill Curdy is the author of Song & Error (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2014), which was named one of the 10 best poetry collections of the year by Slate. She also co-edited, with Lynne McMahon, The Longman Anthology of Poetry. She has won the Rona Jaffe Foundation Writing Award, a Pushcart Prize, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Illinois Council for the Arts. In 2014-2015 she was a Fulbright Senior Research Fellow in Istanbul. She teaches at Northwestern University and lives in Chicago.
