Dara Wier

Dara Wier writes poetry and prose and sometimes both at the same time. Books of recent or near publication include THRU, in the still of the night, YOU GOOD THING, and Reverse Rapture. A 2021 forthcoming book is TOLSTOY KILLED ANNA KARENINA from Wave Books. Guggenheim, National Endowment for the Arts and Massachusetts Cultural Council fellowships have supported her work along with steady offerings of poetry writing and form and theory seminars for the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and as a poet-in-residence for University of Montana Missoula, Hollins University and University of Utah. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised south of there on a small farm near the mouth of the Mississippi River.
