Zirin is well known for his book The John Carlos Story: The Sports Moment That Changed the World. His other books include What’s My Name, Fool?; A People’s History of Sports in the United States; Bad Sports: How Owners Are Ruining the Games We Love; and the recent Game Over: How Politics Has Turned the Sports World Upside Down. His latest book is Brazil’s Dance with the Devil: The World Cup, the Olympics and the Future of Democracy.
