Gabrielle Calvocoressi

Gabrielle Calvocoressi’s first poetry collection, The Last Time I Saw Amelia Earhart (2005), was shortlisted for the Northern California Book Award and won the Connecticut Book Award. Her second collection, Apocalyptic Swing (2009), was a finalist for The Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Her awards and fellowships include a Stegner Fellowship, a Jones Lectureship at Stanford University, a Rona Jaffe Writer’s Award, and a fellowship to Civitella di Ranieri in Umbria. Her poems have been featured in The Washington Post, on Garrison Keillor’s The Writer’s Almanac, and in numerous journals. She also writes the “Sports Desk” column for The Best American Poetry blog and is the Virtual Editor for Broadsided Press. She lives in Los Angeles.
