Jerry Mander

Jerry Mander (1936 - 2023) was an activist and founder of the International Forum on Globalization, and the author of eight books of nonfiction. Dubbed "the Ralph Nader of advertising" by the Wall Street Journal, he was best known for his 1978 book Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television and for creating advertising campaigns for ecological and progressive causes and for nonprofits such as the Sierra Club and Planned Parenthood. In 2022 he published his final book, the memoir 70 Ads to Save the World: An Illustrated Memoir of Social Change.
