Katharine Viner joined The Guardian in1997, having undertaken numerous positions including most recently deputy editor of The Guardian and editor-in-chief of The Guardian US. In summer 2015 she will take up her new role as editor-in-chief of The Guardian worldwide. She will be the first woman to run the media organization in its 194-year history. Viner is also a board member of London’s Royal Court Theatre and a former judge of the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction.
