Meghan O’Rourke is Slate Magazine’s literary editor (and its culture editor from 2002-2006). Before joining the magazine, she worked as an editor at The New Yorker. Her writing and poetry have appeared in Slate, The New Yorker, The Nation, The New Republic, The New York Times, and other publications.
A graduate of Yale University, she holds an MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson College. She lives in Brooklyn, where she grew up.
