Toni Jensen is the author of Carry: A Memoir of Survival on Stolen Lands (Ballantine, 2021), a finalist for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, and the short story collection From the Hilltop. She is the recipient of a Creative Writing Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Fiction. Jensen's essays and stories have been published in journals such as Orion, Catapult, and Ecotone. She teaches at the University of Arkansas and the Institute of American Indian Arts. She is Métis.
